This policy explains which cookies ASKA Academy sets, what each one is for, and how you can control them.

We only use cookies that are necessary for the Platform to work. There is no advertising network, no third-party analytics tag, and no cross-site tracking on this site.

• We use strictly necessary cookies — to sign you in, keep your session, and protect forms against forgery.
• We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
• We do not use third-party analytics cookies.
• We do not sell or share cookie data with data brokers.
• We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other websites.

The exact cookie names depend on the site's configuration, but each one falls into the categories below. All of them are strictly necessary, which is why they do not require consent.

Alongside cookies, the Platform keeps a couple of small preferences in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, are not sent to us with every request, and are cleared when you clear your browsing data.

• Your appearance preference — whether you have chosen light or dark mode.
• Your time zone, detected once at sign-up so class times display correctly for you.

We do not embed advertising or analytics services. A small number of third parties may set their own cookies when you deliberately interact with them, and their own policies apply in those cases.

• Payment providers (Paystack and Korapay) — when you are taken to checkout to pay for a cohort.
• Identity providers (Google, Facebook, X) — only if you choose to sign in with one of them.
• Meeting platforms — when you join an online class hosted on an external platform.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you do this per site. You can also browse in a private window, which discards cookies when you close it.

Because our cookies are strictly necessary, blocking them will sign you out and prevent you from signing back in, applying for a cohort, or reaching your dashboard. The public pages will still work.

• Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
• Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
• Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.

Consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, and tracking. We do not set any of those, so there is nothing to ask you to opt into.

If we ever introduce a non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy before it is set.

If the cookies we use change, we will update this page and the "last updated" date at the top of it.
